Reducing The Restaurant Bill

I found out about www.restaurant.com from Just Another Money Blog http://justanothermoneyblog.blogspot.com/

I've never tried this before, so I thought I'd give it a try. I tend to eat out. Signing up for the account is very easy (email address and physical address required). For restaurants in the Orange County area, the deal is that you pay $10 for a $25 Dining Certificate at restaurants listed in the database that accepts restaurant.com certificates.

Thanks to "Just Another Money Blog", I was able to put in the code "69132" for 60% off the $10, leaving me only $4.00 to actually buy a $25 gift certificate. This code will be valid for purchases until 12/25/2005.

The only caveat is that the total dining bill will have to be at a minimum $35. Some of the restaurants require $40 but that's only a small portion of the listed restaurants. Also, drinks are excluded. I believe you can only use one restaurant.com certificate at the same restaurant in a single month. That's allright. I usually don't end up eating the same restaurant more than once per month anyway. I usually eat out at restaurants if I want to try a new restaurant or a type of food. It is still saving quite alot on my restaurant bill.

I chose Durty Nelly's Irish Pub & Grill over at Costa Mesa since I've been wanting to try that particular pub for some time now. I just called the place and confirmed that they do accept the dining certificate and they do. Happy Sheppard Pie Night for Moi!
