Dreaming of Condos In .......Chino?!!!!

The Condo I wish I can buy soon is in Chino, located in Riverside County, where cows still add fragrance to the air. However, Chino seems to be where the cheaper two bedroom condos are still at (in the $220,000 to $350,000 range). Also, the cows are reported to be on the move by 2007.

I've thought about Long Beach as well, however, condos in Long Beach are more like converted apartments and the neighborhood's crime rate is higher than in Chino. Of course, I can't afford any of it now but I've been keeping watch over the price ranges in order to get a feel for the local trend.

I like all aspects of condo living except if I rent a dowstair unit, as luck would have it , always tend to get a noisy and inconsiderate neighbor upstair. These people would turn on music real loud pass midnight and here you are trying to sleep but the drum bass is echoing down to your unit. Confontation does not seem to work as those people would tend to "forget" the minute you turn around. Actually after you confront them about the music, they would make other noises to annoy you.
I talked to a condo owner, she said she is trying to buy a town house or a detached condo so there would be no neighbor above her unit.
Please make sure you are OK with these problems.

It depends where you look in LB. You might be able to find something nice by CSULB. Or you could try Lakewood, Cerritos, Downey or Paramount.

Commuting from Chino will probably kill you.

  3. Anon, I've heard of horror stories concerning condos and very thin walls or very noisy neighbors. A friend of mine owns a condo with someone above her and she says that she can hear every foot step in the above unit.

I'm not sure if I would be ok with these problems but I do want to get a condo/townhome that is an end unit that's on the upper level.

Commuting from Chino will probably nearly kill me but commuting has become my pet rock over the last ten years...and who can live without pet rocks these days :D!
